This true account is an often hilarious tale of our young family that stepped out of our comfort zone to follow our dreams and try a new way of life.
We 'town-folk' with big visions and ambitions, bought country property and decided to convert a huge dairy barn into our dream home . . . all the while doing battle with one harrowing obstacle after another.
A wild bucking horse, a flood, a smashed bathtub and huge swarms of flies were just a few of our many challenges. We met each one head on, didn't let them get us down and kept pushing toward our goal.
We soon realized we were not just young enthusiastic dreamers, but we were also hard-working, determined and had the courage to try something quite different.
We worked hard, played hard and had lots of fun and with tons of laughter made unforgettable memories.
Whether you label us brave or fool-hearty, I invite you to join us on this roller-coaster journey I think you will enjoy our 'wild and crazy ride'!

Since I am your bro in law this might, to some seemed a biased review. I really enjoyed the book. It brought back many family memories, and things that I never knew of. That horse Aguilla (I changed the spelling) was a note I cannot forget. He is still honored in a photo in our living room. Smokey was a horse that could go up a steep hill with other horses and in horse talk would say "what's the matter, am I the only one that's in shape. He would also turn down a good mouthful of gras to nibble on a blackberry bush. Thanks for the memorys, looking forward to your next book.Product details

GOING COUNTRY Our Life in a Barn! edition by Cheryl Shore Crafts Hobbies Home eBooks Reviews
I've been reading Alien, sci-fi lately and needed a change. This was perfect. I was smiling through out. Great way to spend a cold winter weekend with a feel good book! Well written, I loved the photos.
A delightful and fun recounting of a life surrounded by family.
They say everyone should write their story for upcoming generations and this is certainly a wonderful example. Your grandchildren will be grateful and I enjoyed reading it. Thank you for writing it.
My husband and I both enjoyed this delightful book. It's filled with the love, humor, and determination of a young couple as they work together to try to achieve their dreams, in spite of many obstacles. (So glad it was available as a app for my ipad, too.)
"Going Country" was a great story of a young family and their happenings. My best friend wrote the book, I am so proud of her! I learned so much about their adventures, that I did not know. I could not put the book down.
story is fun and interesting to read, however there are quite alot of grammatical and spelling errors in it.
I as a rule don't read to many books but this one I can hardly put it down
So I love the book it's amazing worth buying
